Foggy conditions reported in Naas area - motorists should drive with caution and use fog lights

No delays on the M50 this morning, traffic moving swiftly in both directions. However, foggy conditions have been reported in Naas Town this morning so drivers are advised to reduce their speed, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and use fog lights in the affected areas. (Don't forget to turn them off afterwards). If you're heading out and about in Co Kildare today, rememeber there's still a one way system in operation for southbound traffic on the Kilcullen Rd (R448) at Piper's Hill/Killashee, Naas. Traffic wanting to access Naas from the Kilcullen direction will have to divert at Mylerstown Cross, head towards Punchestown and turn (at the Elms) to get back into Naas via the Ballymore Eustace Rd (R411. Caragh Bridge remains closed so if you're heading out that direction and planning to take the Mondello route, allow extra time and drive with caution as the alternative route involves sharp bends and junctions with poor sight lines.
