Local property tax is top of agenda at Council meeting

Councillors will decide on Monday whether to cut local property tax by 15 per cent in the county. Mayor of Kildare Cllr Brendan Weld said the issue is at the top of the agenda when the politicians gather for their monthly meeting in Aras Chill Dara in Naas. Councillors are also to vote on plans to dispose of nine separate of tracts of land in Leixlip,  Athy,  Clane,  Celbridge and Naas. Meanwhile another motion calls for Kildare County Council to partner with neighbouring local authorities to stop illegal halting sites.
