Traffic Update: Reports of crash on M7 near Rathcoole

There are reports of a crash on the M7 Naas northbound between J5 Athgoe and J4 Rathcoole. Traffic is slow from J6 Castlewarden, according to AA Roadwatch. Elsewhere volumes are extremely heavy on the M7 northbounnd from the M9 interchange towards Naas. Motorists are reporting stop-go flows and delays of up to 20 minutes on the route. Gardai are reporting no incidents along the corridor but blamed the weekly Monday morning rush. The M7 between Johnstown and Rathcoole inbound is also showing a lot of Monday morning traffic, according to Dublin Coach. It's also very busy around Naas and Newbridge town centres due to school runs. Elsewhere there are heavy congestion around the Bundle of Sticks Roundabout as well as around the Sallins Road, Monread Road and Millennium Park. Road works are continuing between Staplestown Cross and Prosperous today as well as a stop/go system on the Kilcullen Road from the M7.
