Train services resume between Sallins and Newbridge / M50 Breakdown

TRAINS Train services have resumed following an incident between Sallins and Newbridge. There may be some delays.
TRAFFIC There is a breakdown on the M50 southbound before J4 Ballymun which been moved to the hard shoulder and delays are beginning to ease. Northbound traffic is busy exiting at J7 Lucan. Along the Grand Canal, it's busy westbound from Leeson St Bridge to the Ranelagh Rd jct. Traffic is slow outbound on the Long Mile Rd from Walkinstown Ave to the Naas Rd jct. Molesworth St is closed due to a demonstration. Currently traffic is very busy at the Monread Road Roundabout, Newbridge, Sallins, Celbridge and Maynooth. Traffic is busy heading into and out of Naas, Newbridge, and heading out of the National Ploughing championships in Laois.Traffic is building now on all routes from Ratheniska as people begin to leave the site for the day. There are delays approaching the M7 Flyover on the N80 Carlow Rd from Stradbally. In Dublin city centre, Molesworth St is closed due to a demonstration. Apart from that, traffic is moving reasonably well around the city centre. There are a number of ongoing road closures in Co Kildare (listed below). -----------------
Current Road closures in Co Kildare • A one way system is in place in Naas on the Kilcullen Rd (R448) southbound at Piper's Hill until December. Traffic wishing to access Naas from the Kilcullen direction will need to divert at Mylerstown Cross, drive towards Punchestown and then towards Naas on the Ballymore Eustace Rd (R411) • Road closure due to Resurfacing Works in Kilcock. The road running into and out of the Square Kilcock will be closed from 6.00pm tonight to 6.00am tomorrow morning(wed). Parking will not be allowed in this area during the works. Local detours will be in place. Delays can be expected. • Road Works between Ballyshannon and Hacklow: Road surfacing works are to be carried out on R418 between Ballyshannon Cross Roads and Hacklow. Works have commenced and are due to be completed by Wednesday 23rd September. Detours via Calverstown village will be in operation. Delays to be expected. • Road Works on L5072 in Ballynafagh/Garvoge: Road works on L5072 in Ballynafagh/Garvoge Please note that road works will be taking place on the above road until Wednesday 23rd September from 8am to 7pm daily. The road will be closed to all through traffic for the duration of the works and a diversion will be in place. • The Carragh bridge road remains closed. Repair work is expected to start in the week commencing Sept 28th and last for 4-6 weeks. This would give us a (weather dependant!) estimated finish date of early November.
