Closure of food store in Kildare town symbol of 'stagnant' business in county says Pender
23 Sept 2015
The closure of an organic food store in Kildare town is another example of the 'stagnant' business in the county, warns a county councillor. Organic food shop, Peppers 2 Peaches, opened at Unit 3, Station Rd, by John Nolan in November 2014 is soon to close. Mr Nolan said: "I have decided to close the Peppers 2 Peaches store in Kildare town for the time being! I would like to thank all my customers for their business, loyalty, chats and laughs.I had such a great time here in the shop since last November and it will be sad to close." Independent County Cllr Joanne Pender is concerned about the high rate of businesses opening and quickly closing in Kildare town. Cllr Pender said: "The problem in Kildare town is nothing like Naas, but business is stagnant."
