Noisy bin men waking up people in the middle of the night - Cllr

The Council has heard calls to stop private waste firms collecting bins in the middle of the night. There are currently no local bye-laws on regulating collection times in Ireland and it has been claimed that some operators may call to homes at 4.30am. Cllr Sorcha O'Neill of Sinn Fein said that some people are being awoken in their beds by the noise of bin lorries outside their houses. It's believed that Naas Municipal District will hear proposals from elected members on the issue in coming weeks.
