Traffic update: Traffic building in Naas but commuter routes quiet

24 Sept 2015
Picture above taken from the Sallins Road. Traffic in Naas is slowly beginning to get heavier as the evening rush approaches. It's busy on the main street as well as on the Sallins road outbound from the centre of the town. It's getting busier on the M7 just outside of Naas also, with large volumes of traffic starting J9 Naas South and continuing on for about two miles. The overturned truck on the Rathbride Cross on the Newbridge to Rathangan road has been cleared, so there should be no further delays in that area. Newbridge town centre is also very busy as there is a large build up of traffic right up the main street heading towards Kildare town. Traffic on the M50 is moving swiftly so far this evening, but as always it will get busier once the 5pm rush hits. The Millenium Park link road in Naas down to one lane traffic until 12pm tonight as there are works ongoing, so do expect delays in that area.
