Traffic: No incidents but volumes will build earlier on M7/M4
28 Sept 2015
There are no reported incidents for Co Kildare commuters so far this morning but volumes will build sooner on routes such as the M7 and the M4 as it's the start of the week. Motorists should use their fog lights where necessary but remember to turn them off when conditions become clear again. The Monasterevin to Portarlington Road has reopened at Ballagh following a serious collision which injured six people yesterday at noon. A collision on the M7 outbound at Rathcoole which happened yesterday evening has also been cleared. A collision on the M8 between J12 Mitchelstown North and J11 Cahir South has been cleared. Meanwhile road works between Staplestown Cross and Prosperous are continuing today from 8am to 7pm until Wednesday. The road will be closed to all through traffic for the duration of the works and traffic will be diverted via Staplestown/Ballynafagh. Local access will be maintained at all times.
