The name of the Kildare homeless man who was found dead in Dublin city centre on Friday morning has been released.

Alan Murphy was in his mid 30s. It is understood he was originally from Co Kildare, with some reports he may have been from the Naas area. He died while sleeping rough on Dawson Lane. He was found dead on Friday last, at about 7am in the morning.
He was known by other homeless people in the area and the CEO of the Peter McVerry Trust, Pat Doyle, said they had known of him since last December.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on his remains, with a file to be sent to the Coroner's Court.
