Window smashed by thug(s) who ransacked local school

A burglary has taken place at a local primary school overnight.

The incident saw a side window smashed in order to gain entry to the premises at Morristown, near Newbridge.

St Patrick’s National School was targeted at approx. 2am (2nd Oct 2015) when emergency services were contacted.

The school administrative office was ransacked in the incident. Gardai are currently working to establish what, if anything was taken. Gardai in Newbridge have launched an investigation into the matter. Anyone with any information can contact gardai on 045 431 212.

The school was unavailable for contact this morning.
