Thousands of Kildare commuters will be without transport later this month

Thousands of Co Kildare commuters will be without any train transport within weeks. Speaking to KildareNow, Dermot O'Leary, National Bus and Rail Workers, revealed that there will be work stoppages of up to three hours, later this month, at stations throughout the county. Drivers with SIPTU and the National Bus and Rail Workers Union backed the strike by over 90 per cent. The drivers say that under a deal with the company they're owed extra pay for past productivity. But Irish Rail says it will only discuss extra pay in return for more productivity.
