Likely international buyer for Whitewater set to get an initial return of almost 8%

Newbridge's Whitewater Shopping Centre is now generating a whopping €11.7million.

Joint agent Savills and London based Coady Supple are seeking in excess of €150million for the centre.

Speaking to Kildare Now, Dessie Kilkenny of Savills said that Whitewater Shopping Centre is likely to be purchased by an international developer.

According to Mr Kilkenny, the significant footfall at the shopping centre over the past two years spurred the owners into putting it up for sale.

The centre is owned by successful property developer, Sean Mulyran, and the balance by the estate of the late Liam Maye. It is believed that Nama may be holding loans for some of the parties involved in the centre.

It is anticipated that the investment is set to give the next owner a net initial return of 7.5per cent.
