"The next person that interrupts my court with a mobile phone ... I will put them in the cells" - Naas judge

Judge Desmond Zaidan
People attending Naas District Court today were given a very stern warning that they could end up in jail if their mobile phone started ringing. Judge Desmond Zaidan issued the ultimatum after proceedings were disrupted by loud ring tones of a member of the public's handset. The judge said angrily: "The next person that interrupts my court with a mobile phone, electronic gadget or talking, I will put them in the cells. "I am trying to conduct the serious business of the court and I cannot be interrupted." He added: "If anybody interrupts the court, I will hold you in contempt and put you in the cells."
