Red Line Luas hit by delays after collision with woman

The Red Line Luas around Red Cow has been hit with delays after a woman was struck by a tram earlier today. The incident occurred at around 11.30 this morning between Middle Abbey Street and Capel Street on the northside of the city. Luas bosses said there would be knock-on delays on the Red Line which is used by hundreds of Co Kildare commuters who park every day at the Red Cow stop. The woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. A Garda spokesman confirmed that there had been an accident with a Luas earlier today and that a woman had been involved. The spokesman added that they did not believe the woman had suffered serious injuries in the incident.
