Kildare singer Christy Moore has been begged to pen a song for Ireland's expected trip to Euro finals in France next summer. A huge contingent of supporters from Co Kildare are now planning to travel and there has been a reported jump in the prices of camper vans due to a sudden demand. A stunning strike from Shane Long meant a famous victory over world champs Germany last night and a guaranteed play-off place for the tournament. However fans have issued a plea to Newbridge crooner Christy Moore to release a song similar to Joxer Goes To Stuttgart for the 1988 Euro finals. Football supporters on Twitter have also been posting old videos of Christy singing the song to celebrate the 1-0 win at the Aviva. One fan said: "Somebody needs to write Joxes Goes To Stuttgart for our generation." Another said: "Will we get 'Joxer Goes to France' from Christy Moore?" The original song was written about fan called Joxer who witnessed Ireland's famous 1-0 win over England in Stuttgart in 1988.
