Traffic update: M50 and M4 still crawling following earlier collisions
9 Oct 2015
The M50 northbound is still moving very slowly as commuters look to get out of Dublin ahead of the weekend. An earlier accident slowed things up there considerably, and delays remain between J14 Sandyford and J7 Lucan. It's also busy southbound on the M50 from J4 Ballymun to J7 Lucan. It's also busy on the M4 as an earlier collision just before J5 Leixlip. That incident has just been cleared, but traffic going through there remains extremely heavy. The M7 has gotten a small bit quieter in the past half hour, though traffic still remains relatively heavy between J8 Kill and J9 Naas. There is a massive backlog of traffic on approach to the Sallins roundabout on the Millenium Park road, with long delays being reported there. Things are slightly quieter in Newbridge, although there is a decent volume of traffic going through the main street, but there are no major delays there.
