M7 between Kildare and Monasterevin to shut overnight next week for repairs
12 Oct 2015
The stretch of the M7 between Kildare town and Monasterevin in both directions will be closed overnight next week as Kildare County Council carries out urgent works. Detailed diversions agreed with gardai will be put in place and will be clearly sign-posted. The M7 westbound and eastbound from Junction 13 (Kildare) to Junction 14 (Monasterevin) will be shut from 9pm on Monday, 19 October to 6am on Tuesday morning and from 9pm on Wednesday to 6am on Thursday morning. The Council said the closures are needed to complete road stud renewal on the M7 motorway. The M7 eastbound from Junction 14 (Monasterevin) to Junction 13 (Kildare) will close for the same number of hours on Tuesday night and Thursday night of the same week. The M7 Westbound merge slip at Junction 14 (Monasterevin) will also be closed for periods for drainage works.
