High speed broadband for rural North Kildare this week

Rural dwellers in parts of North Kildare will have access to highspeed broadband this week. Cllr James Lawless and Imagine Managing Director Brian O’Donoghue announced this week the first role out of this soon to be nationwide service will begin in Naas and the surrounding areas. Imagine are launching this project in Kildare North before rolling it out nationwide. People in Ardclough, Kilteel, Rathmore, Eadestown and elsewhere will be able to avail of this high speed fibre broadband. The new service will connect residents to the nearest fibre point using the latest high speed wireless technology deliver fast speeds of up to between 30 Mb-100Mb depending on your location. Cllr Lawless said "I am delighted to make this announcement with Imagine. This is the cumulative efforts of hard work over many months which will bring high speed internet to many in Kildare North. High speed internet is a necessity for businesses, education, and social output. Of the entire country to choose from I am happy to announce they have chosen Naas and the surrounding areas as the first place to launch this new broadband service."
