Newbridge childcare worker welcomes huge savings set for pre-school

A Newbridge Childcare worker is welcoming free pre-school for children from the age of  three. Parents in Co Kildare will now save over €1,000 annually with today's budget announcements. Manager at Newbridge Family Resource Childcare service, Suzanne Connolly, welcomed the additional year. There will now be another year of free pre-school, at the moment parents get this service free from the age of four. The Community Subvention Scheme, available for children whose parents are disadvantaged will be extended. Currently parents with children attending pre-school at  Newbridge Family Resource Centre are forking out €77 a week, for 3.5 hours. This will now be free from the age of three until primary school begins, or the age of five- and -half.
