Co Kildare animal sanctuary facing investigation by Department of Agriculture

A well-known Co Kildare animal welfare group which saved hundreds of battery hens is now facing investigation by the Department of Agriculture. It is believed that the Department is planning to investigate Little Hill Sanctuary  for having too many hens. A spokesperson from the group said:" Got a call today from the Dept of Agriculture, seems someone complained about our rescue of so many hens.  I have no problem with an inspection, however it seems you need official approval and to complete Courses now to transport animals !"
