Dublin Fire Service helped to deliver a baby on the M50 last night

The Dublin Fire Service were busy last night as they were called out to a mother in labour near the southbound J4 Ballymun on the M50. Two advanced paramedics attended the scene at around 3.30am as part of the Dublin Fire, Rescue and Ambulance Service and a baby girl was delivered at the scene. Both mother and baby were taken to Coombe Hospital nearby, and a spokesperson for the fire service said that both are doing well in hospital this morning.
