U.S Ambassador to Ireland Kevin F. O'Malley will be among those in attendance at Poplar Square in Naas tomorrow afternoon as people gather to honour the memory of 'the Greatest of the Fenians'. A statue in memory of republican John Devoy will be officially unveiled in the town tomorrow at 2pm as part of the preparations for the 100th anniversary of the 1916 rising. $45,000 was raised by the New York John Devoy Memorial Committee to help fund the sculpting of the statue that was carved out by sculptor Jarlath Daly. There will be refreshments in the Nun's Chapel at Mc Auley Place from 3pm following the ceremony.
