Young bankers from Kildare learn the ropes in Dublin banking HQ
29 Oct 2015
Transition Year Students from Kildare took part in a Bank of Ireland mentoring project which teaches real-world business and life skills. Students from Kildare Town Community School were coached in the bank's Grand Canal Square hub in Dublin on areas such as working in teams, pitching an idea, understanding consumers and using social media. Each team designed a sample campaign for the Irish Cancer Society, proposing innovative solutions to help people improve their health and reduce their risk of getting cancer. Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection, Kevin Humphreys TD attended the Academy and paid tribute to the students.
