Rathangan houses boarded up for too long says Cllr

Houses in Rathangan have been boarded  up for too long, complains a Newbridge based County Councillor. A response is now being expected from the Department of Environment regarding boarded up houses at St. Patrick's Park, Rathangan. At a recent County Council meeting, Director of Services Tadhg McDonnell,  revealed that new plans are now being considered by the Department. A vote has now been deferred on regeneration at St Patrick's Place until the revised plans are submitted to the council. Speaking to KildareNow, Independent Cllr Paddy Kennedy, said: "It is a serious problem and has been going on for too long." He added that he could not take a vote on plans that he has not viewed.
