Kildare the second most expensive county to buy a home

The prices of houses have soared in the past 12 months at a rate that not many propoerty experts would have predicted, with Kildare being one of the counties that has seen a stark rise in the demand for housing. The price of houses has risen by 14 per cent on average in Kildare over thelast three months, compared to the three months directly preceding that. There has been a massive amount of sales agreed for homes in the county over that three month period too, with 578 different transactions, a rise of 45.5 per cent compared to the previous three months. The 578 sales over the past three months have seen a total of over €153 million spent on buying houses in the county in just the space of three months according to reports released by the Residential Property Price Register.
