Gardai appeal for witnesses as man lies in serious condition following bus collision

A 29-year-old man is in a serious condition after being hit by a bus in Dublin last night. The incident happened at Merchant's Quay which is in Dublin City Centre at around midnight last night. It is a very busy area for buses and at that time of night it would be an especially busy area for pedestrians. It is believed that it was a Dublin Bus that collided with the man but there has been no statement released from the bus operator. The man was taken to St James' Hospital in Dublin following the accident in which there were no other injuries reported.
An examination of the scene was carried out and road has since fully reopened to traffic.
