Four Kildare based homecare companies have received over €100 million in funding from the HSE

Four homecare companies based in Kildare have received a massive €100 million euro between them over the past four years from the HSE according to latest figures. The homecare companies largely provide care to the elderly in their homes and the HSE uses these private companies after listing these companies as approved providers of the service. Kilcullen based homecare company Home Instead Senior Care have received the highest amount of money awarded to any care company in the state, getting payments totalling over €40 million between 2011 and 2014. The three other Kildare based companies to receive funding are based in Naas, with Comfort Keepers receiving just over €34.5 million, Bluebird Care raking in over €16.5 million and Caremark receiving funding of over €8.6 million.
