TV presenter Lorraine Keane takes Pat Kenny's job at UTV
10 Nov 2015
TV presenter Lorraine Keane (42) has nabbed a new showbiz programme, aimed at taking over from Pat Kenny's interview show at the fledgling UTV station. The former Xpose presenter is to present an entertainment show. The show is expected to run for six episodes and feature a different celebrity each week as she gets the low down from some of Ireland's biggest names. Speculation abounds that Lorraine's new show is an attempt to fill the void left by UTV Ireland's decision to axe Pat Kenny's In the Round programme. Rapidly decreasing ratings at UTV since it was first established in Ireland at the start of the New Year means that it is likely to be taken over by ITV later in the year. Staff at the station have not ruled out job losses, while news is doing well at UTV, in general the station has not been performing well and its future is uncertain.
