Traffic update: ABANDONED BOAT blocking two lanes on the M4
13 Nov 2015
Apparently there is an abandoned boat on the M4 at the moment and it is blocking the left lane as well as the bus lane. If the weather continues like this however, it may soon be sailing down the motorway. https://twitter.com/aaroadwatch/status/665217419657482240 The M7 is one of the busiest roads in the country this evening and there are long tailbacks for stretches of the motorway at the moment. Delays begin just before J5 Steelstown on the N7 and continue well past J10 Naas south. For motorists using the M4 eastbound this evening, there are reports of debris on the road between J4 Newcastle and J3 Lucan. Traffic going outbound from Dublin on that motorway is heavy but still flowing relatively well. There are massive delays on the M50 northbound following an earlier collision there. Traffic is almost at a standstill from J15 Carrickmines up to J13 Dundrum and continues to move very sporadically from there up to J7 Lucan. The Monread road in Naas remains extremely slow moving at the moment too, with traffic trudging slowly from the roundabout on the Johnstown road all the way to the Sallins roundabout.
