Co Kildare Judge 'not happy' with system of state care for children

A renowned Judge in Co Kildare is expressing sadness at the high level of children in state care with no chance of returning to the family home. At Naas District Court, Judge Desmond Zaidan voiced serious concern that in the ten years he has been working as a Judge, he only agreed to return one child to the parents. Judge Zaidan went on to state that 50% of children placed in state care are ending up in court spurring him to state: "I am not happy with it."
