Gardai find stolen clothes in Operation Trivium

Gardaí have recovered suspected stolen property during ongoing operations targeting criminal activity in the midlands. The discovery was made by Gardaí conducting checkpoints as part of Operation Trivium in Co. Offaly  on Monday last.
At approximately 3.15pm a car was stopped and searched near Banagher. Clothing and footwear with an estimated value in excess of €1,000 was recovered. The occupants of the car, 3 males and 2 females aged in their 20s, were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Athlone Garda Station. The car was impounded under the Finance Act.
