Almost 3000 Kildare people in the dark thanks to Storm Clodagh

A large fault in the ESB line in Kildare has left almost 3000 Kildare customers without electricity this evening. The Dunfirth and Broadford areas of the county have been left without power with the most likely cause being the high winds being experienced thanks to Storm Clodagh. According to the ESB, 2,998 customers have been affected with the estimated time of the line being fixed thought to be around 8.30pm this evening. Thousands of people around the country have been left without power due to the storm.
