Thousands of euros worth of toys stolen to order

Gardaí have seized thousands of euro worth of toys they believe were stolen to order from retail stores in Limerick for Christmas. Consumers are being reminded they could face prosecution for purchasing stolen items on the black market.
Inspector Dermot O'Connor has appealed to members of the public to buy goods from legitimiate sources.
In a separate operation, over 70 bicycles were stolen from children and all of them recovered from a single private house on the outskirts of Limerick city. They are now at a Garda storage facility. It is suspected many of them were destined to end up under Christmas trees on 25 December.
