Army raises €2,800 for the Curragh Lourdes Fund

The Defence Forces Training Centre in The Curragh has raised a total of €2,800 for the Curragh Lourdes Fund following a gala concert last month. The event in St Brigid's Garrison Church at the Curragh Camp featured the Army No 1 Band conducted by Captain Fergal Carroll. Also on the bill was the Naas-based Baldonnel Choir which has over 30 members and has performed at the National Concert Hall and the Aviva Stadium in recent years. Special guests on the night also included tenor Paul Linehan and Mezzo-soprano Norah King. Proceeds from the night also went to the Curragh Military Museum. Brig Gen Joe Mulligan, General Officer Commanding DFTC, presented a cheque for €2,800 to Mr Philip ‘Busty’ Coy (Curragh Lourdes Fund) this week.
