Significant extension for Newbridge primary school will end ' unsafe prefabs.'

A major extension is planned for a Co Kildare primary school with 'unsafe pre-fabs.' Contracts have now been signed for extensions, including 20 new classrooms for Saint Conleth and Mary's Primary School and Saint Conleth's Infants in Newbridge. In a statement by Fine Gael Deputy Martin Heydon, he said:  "The extension which will finally see the end of the use of unsafe prefabs." Plans include three  Classrooms for  Special Needs Unit (operated jointly by both Schools), a large general purpose hall, new staff rooms along with refurbishment and upgrading of existing classrooms and facilities.
