These figures show just how well Kildare Village is performing

Kildare Village has been somewhat of a retail phenomenon since it was founded in 1992, and it has gone from strength to strength in the years since its opening. Last year it was announced that there would be 150 jobs created due to the expansion of the retail village, and the latest figures show that there is plenty of scope for such grand additions. Sales in the boutique outlet rose by a remarkable 26% last year, despite the ongoing construction work. The Hammerson Group, who have a large stake in the retail outlet, have meaningfully increased their stake there too, going from 14% to 38% at a cost of €15.5 million. Of all the premium retail outlets in the Hammerson group, Kildare Village easily outperformed the rest of them, which prompted the Chief Executive of the company, David Atkins, to hailed the growth as 'spectacular'. 30 new boutiques opened in Kildare Village as part of the new €50 million expansion last year.
