"Help us search for two missing men"

There is an appeal for volunteers to assist in the coastal search for two men missing from Co Galway since last month. Anthony Henehan who is aged in his 30s and is from Kiltoom, Co Roscommon was last seen entering the water at Wolfe Tone Bridge in the city on March 10. Meanwhile, Ben Garrett, a 21-year-old army private from Castlebar, Co Mayo, is missing since 31 March when he left a nightclub in the city centre. Gardaí, the Defence Forces and Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit have led the searches. The Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit has appealed for as "many volunteers as possible" to assist. A spokesperson said: “For those that volunteer on the search it is essential to have hi-viz jacket, wellies, waterproof clothing and a stick as they will be searching on very challenging and wet terrain and it can get windy at times." The search resumes from Liam Mellows GAA Club house in Ballyloughane at 11.30am this morning.
