Final preparations are being made for the official opening tomorrow morning of home furnishings chain Meadows & Byrne in Naas. The outlet in the Naas Town Centre complex on the Dublin Road occupies 10,000 square feet and is adjacent to a new Costa Coffee shop. The brand has established itself as a one-stop shop for homeware, bed linen, furniture and home decor. Between 10 and 20 people will be employed at the store which was formerly occupied by Marks & Spencer. Established in 1993, Meadows & Byrne is an Irish owned company with 12 locations such as Dun Laoghaire and Churchtown in Dublin. The new store will be open seven days a week with late opening to 8pm and 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays respectively. The fit out of the store was managed over a 10-week period by The Treacy Group and involved over 100 local contractors employed at different stages of the renovation. Freda Hayes, Managing Director of Meadows & Byrne said: "The local interest in this new store is a testament to how ready Naas is to embrace new beginnings and a new lease of life into the town centre. "The feedback we have received from the local community is very positive and we look forward to being a leading retailer in Naas town for years to come." There is parking spaces for 550 cars onsite with an hourly rate of €1.30 or €5 for the day.
