A Co Kildare man was warned at Naas District Court this morning that if he breaches a barring order one more time, he will serve five months in prison. Supt Martin Walker outlined how the accused was seen at the garden gate of the house, despite having a barring order. Defence Solicitor Matt Byrne outlined that the accused was searching for a log book in the car. Mr Byrne said that his client was disputing that the car was belonging to his wife and was trying to find a signature on the log book. The court heard how the father of two had approached Newbridge Garda Station about this but had been informed that it is a civil matter. Defence said: "He has a difficulty with drink, he has been advised to stay away from his wife." Supt Walker said that the accused has previous convictions for breaching a barring order, adding, 'he needs to see the error of his ways.' Judge John Coughlan said: "He is very foolish, he will end up in Mountjoy." The accused was warned that he will be given five months in prison if he breaches the order again, he was fined €200 and given until September 2 to pay it.
