400 Applegreen jobs in Naas in doubt over objections

State transport bosses have objected to a sprawling Applegreen hub outside Naas which could create 400 jobs. Kildare County Council has given the go-ahead for a global logistics and food production facility, a global training hub and a motorway service area at the former Cemex site at Maudlins roundabout. However Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) which was formerly the National Roads Authority (NRA) told An Bord Pleanala that the proposed development has the potential to have a serious adverse effect on the operation, safety and efficiency of the M/N7.
