WATCH VIDEO: Gardai unveil elite armed unit to tackle crime gang feuds

Garda Armed Support Unit
An elite armed Garda unit for Dublin comprising 60 highly-trained officers was launched today. The Support Unit (ASU) was set up in response to the Kinahan-Hutch feud which erupted this year. The ASU was unveiled by Garda Commissioner Nóirín O’Sullivan and Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald at Garda Headquarters this afternoon. Comprising 55 gardaí and five sergeants, it will provide a 24/7 overt intervention force in Dublin. https://youtu.be/2ARUzzDQzFw
