A man who was charged with taking a picture of a pregnant customer while she was using the bathroom in the store was sacked by his employers over the incident. The incident occurred at the Lidl store in Maynooth when the woman, who was seven months pregnant at the time, asked to use the customer toilet in the store. She noted that she heard a noise which was the recording coming from a phone and she reported the incident to staff. The defendant, Graham Crosby, who has an address in Navan, admitted to the offence to Gardaí and offered to pay €3,000 as a show of remorse. Appearing before Kilcock District Court this week, Mr Crosby's defence solicitor told Judge Desmond Zaidan that the man had been sacked from his job, dumped by his girlfriend and is now undergoing psychotherapy sessions. A spokesperson for Lidl said that it was the only incident of its kind to ever occur in any of their Irish stores.
