Management at a well-known stud farm on the Curragh have been given permission to expand their operations by undertaking a €2.1 million development. Planning permission was granted by Kildare County Council to Meadow Court Stud in late September to undergo extensive renovations to the Meadow Court Stud, which was sold by Eimear Mulhern, the chairperson at Goff's, in September 2016. The new owners will be partialy demolishing roof and first-floor level of existing stables (867sqm) with refurbishment works to include rooflights and solar panels on south-facing roofslope, while two new stable blocks will also be built adjacent to the existing blocks. A machinery shed and farm accommodation will be demolished to make way for a new shed and offices. Two new horsewalkers will also be installed, while planning permission also covers the upgrading of paddocks, resurfacing of existing hard landscaping around stables and machinery shed and resurfacing of internal stable courtyard and surround areas.
