The new owners of Ballindoolin House in Carbury have applied for planning permission for several changes to the protected building. The luxurious property had an asking price of €2.75 million before it was sold two years ago. The 11-bed Georgian mansion is set on a 250-acre estate of gardens, woodland, a working farm and a gate lodge. The large dining room is one of the property's best features as it features a massive dining table which could seat up to 14 for dinner. Being planned to Ballindoolin House is a single-storey conservatory dining room extension to the side of the house. The owners also want to convert a study to a kitchen and convert the kitchen to a toilet, all on the ground floor. There are also plans to subdivide and convert one bedroom to an ensuite and dressing room and convert a second bedroom to a bathroom all on the first floor. Permission is also sought to rewire the house, provide central heating and a photovoltaic array to save energy and redecorate the house.
