Shelves 'too high' in new Prada store in Kildare Village, claims Irish Times

A review of the new Prada store in Kildare Village has claimed that some shelves are 'too high to access. There were queues outside the flagship designer outlet on its opening day last month.     A fashion critic in the Irish Times praised the Irish branch of the Italian fashion giant as being bright and spacious. But the review went on to say: "A major design flaw in an otherwise cool and modern interior were the double decker rails, the top one too high to access. "You had to ask a staff member to hook down anything of interest." The luxury fashion house, which has over 600 boutiques worldwide, is famous for its leather handbags, travel accessories, shoes and perfumes. In the Kildare Village outlet, the prices are understandably high - with pleated navy silk dresses costing about €500 while Miu Miu coats are priced at €700.   However some shoppers have said that Prada sunglasses are half the price in other branches abroad.   Kildare Village has been festooned with Christmas decorations since early November and many families love to visit to experience the Christmas spirit.
