Orla's op is a success and she is now recovering in hospital

Cystic fibrosis sufferer and campaigner Orla Tinsley has underwent a double lung transplant and is now in recovery in a US hospital. A suitable double lung donor was found last night after six previous attempts. The Newbridge native, who is currently in hospital in New York, and had been on life support in recent days. Following the surgery, a message posted on her Facebook account gave an update on her condition, stating that she was in recovery. “She will be going through a lot in the next few days so please keep her in your minds. We are not out of the woods yet but the trees are beginning to thin. Thanks for all your support and well wishes." He took to Twitter last night to announce the good news that her life-saving transplant would go ahead today.
 She wrote: "This morning we got a call but I wanted to wait. Well, here it is, lucky Number seven. I’m not afraid..Please send love, prayers and best wishes. Double lung transplant is a go! Love love love".
Earlier she posted her thoughts as he remained on life support with a constant oxygen supply.
She said: "My entire focus now is on breathing. I am struggling a lot but I am strong and hopeful".
