Newbridge's Courtyard Shopping Centre set for major €25.7M revamp

The Courtyard Shopping Centre in Newbridge is primed for a massive investment after Kildare County Council gave the go ahead for a €25.7 million expansion to the facilities. The new investment will greatly upgrade the existing shopping area, which features stores such as TK Maxx, Dealz, Gamestop and a number of individual retail outlets. The permission that has been granted by the council allows for the demolition of an existing unit and storage building. There will then be the construction of a new block, which will be comprising of 6085sqm of retail space on ground, first and second floors, car parking to third and fourth floors, connecting to the adjoining existing multi storey car park. The plans also include the construction of three retail units to ground floor of Block CC3 comprising of 286sqm retail space, along with the construction of six two-bed apartments on first, second and third floors.
