A secondary school in Celbridge will open a Book of Condolences this weekend following the tragic death of a student. Salesian College announced the sudden passing of second-year student Emmett Percy. In an online post on the School's Facebook page, School Principal Brenda Kearns said the school's Oratory will be open on Sunday afternoon for students and parents who may wish to sign a Book of Condolences. Ms Kearns said: "It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Emmett Percy, second year student, Bosco 2. "We offer our sincere condolences to Mr & Mrs.Percy, their son Conall, former student of Salesian College and their daughter Ava, Leaving Certificate student in St.Wolstan's. "The family have respectfully asked for privacy and time to grieve for their son. "The school Oratory and 1st Year area will be open on Sunday between 11am and 1pm (amended time) for students and parents who may wish to sign our book of condolences and reflect on Emmett’s passing. "Members of staff will also be present to support our students at this time. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Emmett’s family at this sad time.  "May he rest in peace."
