Man driving on overtaking lane at high speed during 'poor visibilty'

A 36- year-old man who was caught driving at a speed of between 125km/hr and 130km/hr during 'poor visibility' has been fined at Naas District Court.

The Co Louth man was charged with driving without reasonable consideration under Section 1(1), at the N7 Kill, Kill West.

Evidence was given how the Garda saw the accused driving on the overtaking lane.

The court heard how there was a lot of 'surface water.'

Evidence was heard how the accused had no previous convictions.

The court heard how the accused was driving a 'rental car'

Judge Desmond Zaidan ordered that the accused pay a €350 fine.
