A contestant on the Kildare/Meath border will win thousands of euro on RTE game show Winning Streak later this month.

Pat Melvin from Posseckstown in Enfield saw his name pulled out of the draw drum by Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy last Saturday night.

The lucky Lottery player is guaranteed to win thousands of euro on the programme and could even get the chance to spin the Grand Prize Wheel where the jackpot is €500,000.

Contestants from Dublin, Kerry and Waterford will also be on the game show which returns to our screens on March 24 after a break for St Patrick's weekend.
